ReplyDeleteI am talking about the star of our city Athing Mu, she gave us gold. Yes, she won an olympic gold medal at Tokyo in 2021. She told us what it feels to be a recipient of such a great prize and her answers is wonderful. She is so prudent when talking to media but still we got to hear all of her story. I can tell you readers that she is not arrogant at all even if she is one of the top Aggie athlete and student. Also we all need to thank you Mu for being the donor of the new library at Southwood Valley School. Keep shinning beautiful.

The Selfie Statue
Florence has Michelangelo’s David. Brussels has Manneken Pis. And now Sugar Land, the prosperous suburb southwest of Houston, has the selfie statue. Installed six years ago in Sugar Land Town Square, the selfie statue is a life-size bronze representation of two teenage girls posing for a smartphone photo. The sculpture even had gone viral, and reaction on social media was even acute swift and brutal. Some residents were apprehensive about the anonymous sculpture appeared city square. After many years, it’s a prominent landmark in Sugar Land. Samuel Levin, Sugar Land businessman who is the donor. During one of his frequent trips to China, Levin was struck by a series of public sculptures in Guangzhou depicting ordinary people. Levin commissioned Selfie from a Guangzhou foundry, providing, as guidance, a photo of two Sugar Land girls taking a selfie. Even though we might see an arrogant attitude behind the cameras, he is a great human being. I had a great time meeting him last year. His prominent personality makes him someone you must notice in a room. He is also known for his generous heart, last month he was the donor of a huge amount of money for the pediatric pavilion of Texas Children Hospital. Definitely someone we can admire. Back in 2020 when COVID was at its peak, the entire world was scared to step out of their houses. While most of our nation's citizens were at their houses with their family, there were a bunch of people who were out of their hometown, away from their family. As the transportations were all shut down, and the whole country was under lockdown, those people could not travel to their native town and could not get to their loved ones. Those citizens were terrified of being far away from their families due to the pandemic. As a couple of weeks passed, India's one of the most talented celebrity, Sonu Sood, came forward to help those people. Sood has earn a lot of money through his works in bollywood and other occupations. But he is not arrogant about it. In fact, he is very humble and one of the biggest charity donors in India. He spent a lot of money to start up private transportations to help those people get to their village. He even sold so many of his properties to come up with the money needed. While a lot of other rich and popular citizens of our nation were at their homes, Sood did not feel even a little bit apprehensive about what might happen. He did not care about himself, all he cared about was helping everyone. Although he did not do such things for fame or recognition, helping out the nation's citizen made him a prominent person of India.

The governor of our region Murataliev had done a lot of great things during the Covid-19 quaranteene. He seems to be very arrogant person, but the good things he had done will never be forgetten. He prudently planned all ways of overcoming Covid-19, in order to keep people safe. We were donored by our president some money and the governor spent it wisely.
